Assisted hatching

Assisted hatching is a technique that consists of creating an artificial opening in the embryo to improve its implantation. It is generally recommended for women over 38 years of age, in prior implantation failures, and in embryos with unusual morphological characteristics , like thick or amorphous membranes that hinder the implantation possibility.

This technique can be performed in multiple ways, but the objective is the same in all: it efforts to minimize the potential adverse environmental conditions for the embryo.
